Remain In Light Production

Dreams is an investigation of the creative process. A young man enters a hotel room and spends a sleepless night, jotting words down on paper, the prelude, perhaps, to a novel in the making. Haunted by his imagination and by the characters who appear to him, he and his characters seek to find the truth about themselves, who they are and why.

Published in 1999, Dreams predates Mouawad’s astounding and highly successful Scorched (2005) which was mounted four times in Toronto alone to rave reviews. The poetic text of Dreams will surely capture the imagination of audiences. The play will be set within an inventive stage design and offers a unique combination of verbal and physical theatre.

This highly anticipated Remain in Light production of Dreams will be potentially running for 16 days at The Canadian Stage Company’s Berkeley Street Theatre Downstairs bringing additional theatrical – cultural entertainment to the Toronto landscape during the summer season. Toronto’s upcoming theatre season is now developing to be a vibrant, newly rich artistic and eclectic season for Torontonians to explore.
